Yesterday, we told you Hasbro announced their more articulated 3.75" Black Series figure line would move forward as a Wal-Mart exclusive line. So wouldn't it be great if Hasbro's Vintage Collection line was also returning, perhaps as a Toys R' Us exclusive line? Well according to an interesting rumor posted by the folks over at
Jedi Temple Archives, that is exactly what is happening possibly under the name The Chrome Collection. When we read this, we thought it would be great so we contacted the folks at Hasbro to see if they would be willing to confirm the rumor for us. Honestly, we weren't really expecting a response but to our surprise we got one. According to Hasbro, there are no plans for a Star Wars Vintage TRU exclusive collection. We even followed up to make sure they weren't trying to trick us and throw us off the trail with word play, so we also asked if a "Chrome Collection" line was coming. Their response was as far as they know there's no vintage-style line of any name coming to TRU.
