This is how it goes in order

MASS Device mini series

Revenge Of Cobra Mini series

Pyramid Of Darkness miniseries and then season 1

Arise Serpentor, Arise and then season 2

GI Joe The Movie (animated)

The two mini series, Arise Serpentor, Arise and Pyramid of Darkness aired in five parts, monday through friday, and the following week the regular season episodes aired.

All of the five part mini series also aired in full on the sunday before the week they aired in five parts. At least they did where I lived on the channels I got back then. I am not sure of the exact number of episodes that seaon 1 and 2 had.

That's exactly as they originally aired in my area, as well.

My personal view has always been that MASS and Weather were seasons 1 and 2. That isn't the common belief, but I always felt that they were their own seasons, just very, very short seasons!! LOL

I have heard some people refer to "MASS" as season one and "Revenge" as season two, placing "Pyramid" as the beginning of season three. However, I do not believe that's the common numbering (it certainly isn't by those making the show or the DVDs).

To my knowledge, all the minis were constructed as multi-part episodes that could be combined into longer features (many cartoons have made special broadcast 'movies' this way). This means that "Pyramid" and "Arise" don't really stand before the seasons, they are actually the first five episodes of those seasons.

That's what I was looking for. Thanks Blackmada.

MASS Device was Mini Series 1 which served as an introduction to the 82 and 83 toys. It wasn't a bad plot, I bought the RHINO boxed set wit the free snake eyes character.

Then in 84, Sunbow released The Weather Dominator which introduced the 84 Joes and some of the early 85 toys. Antoher good one, which had more of Flint in charge than MASS Device, which was heavilly Duke orientated.

I dunno if the Pyramid of Darkness multi parter is classed as season 1, i thought it was the final mini series which fully introduced the 85 line and then went into Season 1 after that?

Thank you. Wow! So Hasbro never came out with 12 min. eps until after Pyramid Of Darkness? Please correct me if I'm wrong in thinking that.

22 mins.

both the Mass Device & Revenge of Cobra are 110 apiece.

the regular series that came after the mini-series were also 22 minutes @ least for the ARAH.

Technically, the Mass Device mini-series was just that: a mini-series. Mass Device and Revenge of Cobra are typically considered their own thing and the 1985 Pyramid of Darkness and the following episodes are considered the proper season 1.

Best example would be when a comic company does a limited series once or twice before a regular series starts.
