It was rumored earlier this year that Taika Waititi would be directing an upcoming Star Wars film, and now, Lucasfilm makes it official. Waititi, who has directed
Thor:Ragnarok and the 'Redemption" episode of The Mandalorian, as well as, voicing the character IG-11, will be co-writing with Krysty Wilson-Cairns (
1917).
Disney and Lucasfilm also announce a new untitled “Star Wars” TV series is in the works for Disney+ from
Leslye Headland. (
