In addition to Han Solo, Boba Fett, Yoda, and Obi-Wan, there are two new subjects rumored to be the focus of stand-alone films.
Up-and-coming filmmaker, A.J. Edwards, who has yet to be officially connected to any of the
Star Wars films, recently participated in an AMA session on Reddit, and when asked if there was any truth to rumors that he would direct a future Star Wars movie, he responded, "Talking about it, not able to say a lot yet" and "It will focus on Mace Windu."

Another rumor involves
Gareth Edwards and Gary Whitta's stand-alone film, said to be a galactic heist, with a group of bounty hunters attempting to steal the plans for the first Death Star. Boba Fett and the Millennium Falcon (without Han Solo?) are thought to somehow be involved, as well as a character introduced in
The Force Awakens.
