30 years after premiering there, Return of the Jedi screened again at the Egyptian Theater this past weekend as a part of Entertainment Weekly' s CapeTown Film Festival. Attendees of the the 6pm and 10pm showtimes were treated to a surprise post film appearance by Mark Hamill himself. No Episode 7 secrets here, as he says he's only had one creative meeting with Kathleen Kennedy, and hasn't met with Abrams yet. He talked abut his meetings with Lucas, thinking it was for promoting the 3-D versions of the original trilogy, and his request for a return to more practical effects. On the sequels, he says:
"..It always starts with the script and that's why I'm so encouraged by Michael Arndt's involvement because I respect his writing so much. He's a big fan of these movies, so hopefully we can make something that doesn't make everyone want to find us, cut off our heads and throw it right in our faces.”
"...he suspects the “old folks” will be more like Sir Alec Guinness in the OT. “I want it to be age appropriate, so heavy on the Jedi mind tricks and lighten up on the lightsaber duels. Let the kids do the heavily lifting!”"

His appearance also included many behind the scenes tidbits from the Original Trilogy, which you can read at the above link, and Joker and Han Solo impersonations, the latter of which, you can (sort of) see here:
