Snyder, Spielberg & Tarantino Reject Helming New Star Wars Movie
Outsiders - November 09, 2012

Disney may have shot first but it looks like they shot themselves in the foot. Movie directors Zack Snyder, Steven Spielberg and Quentin Tarantino have turned down and rejected the idea of them taking over and helming the next big Star Wars movie.

"Man Of Steel" director Zack Snyder told the LA Times: "I donít think Iíd be interested in [directing it]." "Iím a huge ĎStar Warsí fanatic. I just think doing [episodes] seven, eight and nine is just a slippery slope. Itís a whole other mythological experiment Iím excited to see, but itís a lot of effort."

Access Hollywood asked "Lincoln" director Steven Spielberg: "No! No!" "Itís not my genre," the director explained. "Itís my best friend Georgeís genre."

Quentin Tarantino almost took offense when asked by Entertainment Weekly: "I could so care less," he responded. "No, sorry. Especially if Disneyís going to do it. Iím not interested in the Simon West version of Star Wars."
