Star Wars The Phantom Menace MTT Battle Droid Transport Toy From Hasbro Announced At UK Toy Fair (Updated W/Image)

Jay Cochran - January 24, 2012
UPDATE: A small scan of the MTT giving us our first look at the tank has hit the net. Larger images are expected to be released later today.

Dark Horse over on The Red Shadows forums got a chance to tour the Hasbro Showroom at the UK Toy Fair going on today and saw the new big vehicle planned for Hasbro's Star Wars line in 2012. It will be the MTT from Star Wars: Episode 1. Here is how he describes the toy.

It's quite big, the main gimmick is the opening droid tray. It has the slow opening mechanism that the previous big vehicles has. It includes 20 battle droids and a Obi Wan figure. Only four of the droids are articulated though. The rest are pre-posed.

I personally would have rather seen a large-scale Sith Infiltrator released, but still the MTT was one of the cooler vehicles in the movie.

No images of the actual toy have surfaced as of yet but if they do we will be sure to update you.
