Hallmark Exclusive Astromechs at the New York Comic Con

Hallmark announces its first visit to New York Comic Con International at the Javits Center (Oct. 13-16), Attendees will have access to Comic Con-exclusive Hallmark Keepsake Ornaments and receive a sneak peek of product for 2012.

During the convention, Hallmark will sell limited quantities of the Astromech Keepsake Ornaments:

Droids R2-Q5 and R2-A3: Fans of the iconic film series will recall the black-bodied R2-Q5 being on the second Death Star as the red-trimmed R2-A3 flew along with Wedge Antilles. The special-edition Droids will be sold as a set.

Also there will be a Star Trek Exclusive ornament also...

U.S.S. Defiant: The U.S.S. Defiant is from the third-season episode "The Tholian Web" and celebrates the 45th anniversary of the original “Star Trek” television series. Based on a 2006 Keepsake Ornament of the U.S.S. Enterprise, it will have luminescent paint that allows the ornament to glow green in the dark as seen in the episode.

This will be the first year that Hallmark will have a convention exclusive Keepsake Ornaments for NYCC. Hallmark has produced exclusive Keepsake Ornaments in recent years for events including Comic Con International, Star Wars Celebration V, the National Barbie® Doll Collectors Convention and Disney’s D23 Expo.

Visitors to the Hallmark booth 110 will receive a series of collectible buttons featuring quotes from the new line of Star Wars Gifts coming exclusively to Hallmark Gold Crown stores spring of 2012. A different design in the series will be given away each day of the convention in limited quantities.


Other activities include visits from the 501st Legion and a sneak peek of Hallmark’s Star Wars products for 2012 and giveaways.
