2010 SDCC - Star Wars Day: Hasbro Panel

Hear from the Hasbro Design and Marketing teams about what's in store for the remainder of 2010. They will also offer a special sneak peek into some 2011 secrets. Featuring Derryl DePriest and Chad Donvito of Hasbro Marketing, and Brian Parrish, Mark Boudreaux, Brian Merten, Andrew Franks, and Vickie Stratford of Hasbro Design.

Star Wars is really two fold. New season of Clone wars and its the celebration of the 30th anniversary of Empire Strikes Back.

Hasbro said you doing a great job, What do you want to do? So they put out the AT-AT.

This year is really all about the fans.

With the 30th, we want to go with vintage in new direction.

2010 will be more focused, but it will be on the celebration.

Starting August first will be Clone Wars and Saga Legends. We want to segment them so fans can make the distinction between each series.

Galactic Battle Game. Kid targeted play. New way to play with figures. Includes a unique card. Card game included with figures. Battle Packs and Vehicle pages. Will continue through 2011.

We want Stars Wars to be really big with kids.

New figures: Kit Fisto, Mace Windu, Commander Droid, Cammo Clone Trooper. Ki-Adi Mundi, Clone Trooper Pilot, Flame Thrower Clone.

Play mats for Battle Game and Sergent Bric. Holds 16 figures. includes exclusive figure. a bounty hinter by Kaminoans to train cadets.

Figure and Vehicle Packs: Freeco Bike with Weather Gear Clone. Minie Tank w. Tactal figures.

Battle packs: Arctic Troopers. Mandlorian Troopers.

Starfighter Vehicles: AAT, Hyena Bomber, Clone Swamp Speeder, AT-AP. Xanadu Blook and Starfighter.

3-3/4 Hailfire Droid R/C on shelf August. 18 projectiles. includes clone Trooper. Tank Steering.

Vintage is Back!

Looking to run vintage for at least 2 years. Want to go beyond the orginal trilogy. Pick up where Kenner left off. With wave 2 there will eps I, II and III.

37 basics figs in 2010. Four waves approx every 6 weeks.

27 new figures will be new tooling.

10 figures will be "greatest" hits from Kenner line.

Wave 2 - Ep 2 wave: Darth Sidious, Anakin, Magna Guard, General Grievous with cloth cape for handles and light sabers. Obi-wan, Sand Trooper, Clone Trooper.

12 foil chase figures will be offered.

Wave 5 - Return of the Jedi. Gammoraen Guard, Akbar, Java Sailbarge. Skiff guard, R2-D2 in smaller scale and add all the accessories including drink tray. Rebel Commander Wicket. Wedge Rebel Pilot it delayed a couple months.

Fall Figure Mail In - 30th ESB figures. The holy grail of Hasbro Star Wars. Rocket Firng Boba Fett with stickers should be available starting in August. Has firing missile in the back pack. Can have it both ways.

Legacy Starfighter Vehicles - Snow Speeder is smaller bu done right with more weapons and great play with firing projectiles. Can hold two Figures.

Cloud Car - Was said to never be done, but we took the advantage to do is now in a very authentic way. Hidden reveal weapons. Spits in 1/2 to make two flying vehicles.

AT-AT - The BIG one! All the bells and whistles. Electronics and loads of features like cable for Luke to dangle from. Comes with Speeder bike. Has head articulation.

Force FX Lightsabers with removable blades. Come with belt clip. Has sounds and lights. There is a new base with extra supports for hold the blade and hilt. Darth Vader and Anakin are available August and at SDCC now.

Galactice Heroes - Four new 2-packs coming in September. With new dynamic poses. AT-AT being introduced. Baby AT-AT.

Role Play - Boba Fett electronic helmet. Has lots of new dialog for sounds. Boba Fett electronic blaster.
General Grievous Spinning Light Saber.

Transformers Crossovers - Yoda and Attack Shuttle. Republic Attack Cruiser. Captain Rex.

Milenium Falcon R/C that can fly. Really fun toy that has great range. Big focus on this item for the fall.

Exclusives - Star Wars Kul Teska Guard at Toys R' Us. From the Clone Wars: The Republic Heroes video game. Judo Kast figure at KMart - Impostor for Boba Fett. Nikto Skiff Guard at Toys R' Us. DVD 2-packs at Walmart. Each set has 2 figs from episode on Malevolence series.

Legacy of the Dark Side 2-packs at Toys R' Us. Pre-cyborg Grievous to General Grievous. Boba Fett to Bounty Hinter.

Multipacks at Target. Senate Command captain and Commando.

Clone Wars Clone Commando Squad. Four of the hottest troopers. Cold Weather, ARF, Pilot and Jetpack.

Obi-Wna Kenobi and Super Battle Droid. Gnosis Battle Arena... at Target. Nicanas Tassu and Count Dooku. R2 and C-3P0 with battle droid head.

AT-AT in vintage packaging at Toys R' Us. Will be out this October with the panels and packing simulated like the old 80s.

Target will have the Snowspeeder and the Tie Fighter in vintage 80s vintage packaging.

Mini-Muggs - Bounty Hunters, Yoda, Darth Vader and others in October.

Battle Packs at Target: Attack on Hoth, Defense of Hoth available in December.

Comic Packs - EE will be making them for Hasbro. Legacy #7: Deliah Blue and Dark Nihl, Jango Fett Open Seaosn #2 and others.

SDCC - Darth Maul and Owen Lars Comic 2 Pack.

Celebration - Cami and Fixer 2-pack. Special packages.

4-Lom and Zuckuss (Celebration V Exclusive. Revive the reversed names from Kenner days with special vintage deco.
