New Empire Strikes Back Twin Pod Cloud Car Toy In The Works?!?

Jay Cochran - December 05, 2009
It appears from some recent prototype images that have recently surfaced the Internet that Hasbro perhaps is working on a long-rumored and often denied Twin-Pod Cloud Car toy based on the vehicle that first appeared in Episode V, The Empire Strikes Back. If the prototype images are to be believed it would appear the toy will sport firing rockets in the middle and pop-out launchers on the side. As always with these types of things it should be noted there has been no official confirmation from Hasbro on this item. Click here for more on this and to share your thoughts on it. Thanks to JediInsider reader Dake for the heads up.

The Palisades Muppets figures were amazing! We have a few in stock, but they always go really fast. My favorate were the MegaMuppets. I kept a Mega Muppet Beaker for myself. As for Popco, I always knew them for making the Mario PVC and Vinyl figures.

They aren't ever coming out.

There may just be some hope for this line afterall:

"Popco was most known for their Golden Compass and Harry Potter figures. The Golden Compass figures were great, even if the movie didn't live up to the books, and the Harry Potter line was my favorite action figure line since Palisades' The Muppets. Then of course there were the James Bond line Corgi showed off at the UK ToyFair this year (which we understand should still come in 2009 under Master Replicas)."

Did you ever happen to see (if you don't already own) their Harry Potter playsets?!?

This is in here too...

Well, as I mentioned in the General chat thread, it was confirmed by Designworks, who sculpted the prototypes for Corgi/Popco, that this line was cancelled. @grumpy@
