First Eight 12" Kenner Classic Star Wars Figures Revealed From Gentle Giant

Jay Cochran - July 14, 2010
UPDATE: Darth Vader has been updated as the 8th figure to be released in this line.

Just like they were when you were a kid, only BIGGER! Gentle Giant is proud to debut their new line of vintage Star Wars Action figure reproductions.

Digitally scanned from mint 3 ¾” Kenner originals and reproduced to a substantial 12” tall. Nothing has been overlooked. Injection molded and made of durable plastics, this jumbo figure includes a faithfully reproduced blaster and is fully articulated! That’s not all, these classic Kenner creations come packaged on vintage inspired blister cards.

This new line will kick-off at the San Diego Comic-Con with an exclusive Stormtrooper figure on an Empire Strikes Back cardback. It will be limited to 1500 pieces and cost $85.

There will be 12 figures initially released in this line and so far Gentle Giant has revealed 8 of them. Sand People, Luke Skywalker (Tatooine), Stormtrooper, C-3PO, Jawa, Han Solo, R2-D2 & Darth Vader. Keep it here to Jedi Insider for more details on these as they become available and check back next week from July 21-25 for complete coverage of San Diego Comic-Con.
