Weekly Star Wars Q&A Session With Hasbro's Star Wars Brand Team Week 10 Answers

By Jay Cochran on 2006-09-01 in Action Figures

Every Friday by 5 PM ET, Jedi Insider along with a few other select outlets will be able to submit 3 questions that we would like posed to the Hasbro's Star Wars brand team. All questions submitted will be reviewed and answers to a select few will be posted on https://www.Hasbro.com/StarWars the following Friday afternoon. Though only a sampling of all questions received will be posted to Hasbro's site each week, they will make their best effort to respond directly to each editor with answers to all submitted questions.

NOTE: Due to the Labor Day holiday, Hasbro will NOT be answering questions next week. The next round of questions will be answered on Friday, September 15th.

JI: Will the Target exclusive Tie-Interceptor or Jabba Skiff be re-released any time in the next year?

Hasbro: It's still too early to tell what our exclusive lineup will be next year, but we'd rank the TIE as a higher-demand vehicle right now, if that helps.

JI: Any plans for a VOTC Jango Fett figure?

Hasbro: Prequel Vintage is an interesting concept (if not an oxymoron) but we're not there yet…we'd like to continue to concentrate on classic Kenner figures that should be updated first. At some point we can see doing what you suggest, but it's not anytime in the near future.

JI:Any plans to do something with Jedi Points, like to use for a mail-away figure?

Hasbro: We've discussed this, but it's still murky. We're not sure how many people were influenced to dicard their points after the eBay auction last year. These are the people who could become upset since they were led to believe that the points would be useless. So....what do you think is the reality? Did people toss them out or get rid of them, and would they be upset if we did something with them? Should we just start all over with fresh points, like we did with the Lucas Stormtrooper mail-in?
