Previews Exclusive Star Wars Bounty Hunter Action Figure set!

Diamond Comic Distributors is thrilled to announce its next exclusive Star Wars product, slated for a 2005 holiday season release – the Star Wars: The Hunt for the Millennium Falcon Bounty Hunter Pack.

Hasbro has brought together seven of the most notorious 3 ¾” figures from Star Wars: Episode VI – Empire Strikes Back, and specially packaged them to recreate the scene aboard Darth Vader’s Executor-class Super Star Destroyer. This gift box contains Darth Vader, Boba Fett, IG-88, Bossk, Dengar, Zuckuss, and 4-LOM. Accessories will include blaster rifles for the bounty hunters and a lightsaber for Darth Vader.

“It was very difficult for us to choose a worthy follow-up item to our exclusive Sandcrawler from last year,” said Diamond Purchasing Brand Manager Chris Schaff. “We seriously considered going with another vehicle, but this set is something I have wanted for myself for years, and, once the Star Wars Marketing Team at Hasbro gave the project a thumbs-up, the choice was made. Not only are we giving the casual consumer an opportunity to pick up all of the bounty hunters in one pack, we are giving collectors an item that will look good on any bookshelf.”

About The Characters:

Darth Vader: For most of his life, the ominous Darth Vader has reached for an ultimate power, which he knows to exist but which continues to elude him. Although he has achieved an extraordinarily lethal degree of skill with the Force and is a much-feared commander in the Empire, he continues to burn with a dark, ravenous yearning for the power that will satiate the restless hunger within him.

Boba Fett: Boba Fett is the most dangerous bounty hunter in the galaxy. He wears a helmet that completely hides his face. Boba Fett carries lots of weapons to capture whomever he is chasing, including a jetpack that fires missiles. He is a skilled pilot with a powerful ship, Slave I, which is packed with equipment to track down his prey – and escape any attack.

IG-88: The droid IG-88 works as a bounty hunter throughout the galaxy. He is hired by Darth Vader to capture the Millennium Falcon and its crew of Rebel heroes. He is a dangerous and deadly droid that is feared by all.

Bossk: This reptilian Trandoshan has a well-deserved reputation as a highly skilled tracker, unencumbered by scruples or even a shred of decency. After all, he acquired part of his powerful reputation by killing and eating his own father. His species is able to re-grow lost limbs, adding to his already considerable aura of invincibility.

Dengar: Nicknamed "Payback," because his personal vendettas motivated him, Dengar was once a daring racer until a swoop crash with Han Solo ended his career. Although Dengar was to blame, he held Han Solo responsible.

Zuckuss: The bounty hunter Zuckuss uses mystic religious rituals dating back centuries on his gaseous homeworld of Gand. His uncanny abilities make other bounty hunters uneasy. Zuckuss is a tireless tracker.

4-LOM: This humanoid droid acts as assistant and companion to the ailing Zuckuss. He hopes that studying under Zuckuss will one day result in 4-LOM learning the secret to intuition, Zuckuss’s trademark hunting technique.
