It's typical corporate greed. The mentality of, "we have something, we don't have to spend more money on it, but we can certainly charge as much as we want for it".
The idea of giving your customer a break is the opposite of what corporation do. They always want to maximize profits for their shareholders

They haven't moved yet (was supposed to be this fall, and I believe now it's been pushed to the end of winter or early spring), but, yes, that's exactly what I meant. It's pretty apparent that Chris Cocks [that is the actual spelling of his last name] wants to at least partially pay for the move with price increases (and also employee attrition), but of course he's not willing to say so. We don't insult people here, whether they're on the forums here or not, so I'm not going to. And nobody else here is either. I will say, however, that I wish Brian Goldner was still around.

I get the whole 'everything is more expensive now' but to increase nearly 50% on what is basically the same release as Antoc Merrick's X-Wing from 2021? Or the half a dozen prior releases? We get the whole 'you have to pay more for new tooling' thing but it's never 'you get a discount because we already have the tooling done/this isn't as expensive as it would be if it was brand new' when theree's now new development done on a product. Given that this is just an old mould reused, I wonder if they even have to consider justification for the price increase on this thing? Yeah, it's a decent size vehicle, but it's not *that* big to justify that sort of pricing, especially when there's been no new R&D on creating it...
