Still not getting any of these (a decision made all the easier by the fact that they're probably not going to be available at retail here in NZ anyway), but I see where they're going now that it's a line rather than just the one-off Stormtrooper. I will give them points for the Battle Droid having the target with all the blast points being on the lightsaber - now *that's* funny!

I mean I do agree, I'm all for hating that whole deal, but also I have oddly fond memories of going all crazy hunting something, and freaking out, like toy hunts were real, they were missions, sometimes going on for prolonged periods, it felt like it ment something, I just think once in a while I might enjoy a little adventure, one with defeats to triumphs, like make me get off my butt and get my heart pounding. I just sit here on my big bum waiting to click things, then sit and sit for them to end up at my door, I want the wonder of walking down a toy isle, just sometimes....

I mean it just feels more painful to have sat on my duff waiting to click buy, and not even getting anything, then the idea I went out of the house with my friends and screamed around to stores, and to feel horrified of my failure to try again and succeed.

Also I realized that I might have been a bit harsh to the fans of these silly figures with shirts, because if there was an Ewok with a shirt...Oh best believe I'd have sung a different song.

Same for me with an Ewok LOL

Nah you can feel that way.....I've been collecting since 1992. Lived through all the scarcity tactics of MOTU Classics, Marvel Legends, G.I. Joe Renegades, WWE Classic Superstars and such. If companies went back to that. I'm out, would just drop the line. We're seeing it in WWE line atm with the ladies. People can make excuses that they short pack them. That's great, but because of that I went from collecting every new figure from the Elite line to maybe buying 10 WWE Figures a year back in 2019.

PS - I wish I had known you didn't have either of those. I probably could have helped you.

I totally get what your saying, buttt in reality and believe me I am the queen of grumbling about exclusives, but they are millonaire dollar companies, they don't care, and they should really be doing the brutal barbaric method that makes them money, make an exclusive a reason for the people to scream insanely while driving around in their toy collector mobile with sacks of cash furiously, believe me I don't want it, but it actually makes sense, and once upon a time it was exactly that way... just maybe toss some gasoline into the game, let's have some cobra island madness for once.

Yeah I don't have a Serpentor.... sucks to be me, but I also don't have a Savage Land set....it hurts, but oh man does it hurt so much that if you offered it again by some exclusive means, I'd try and push a granny over to get it.

the scarcity game is dead, it made it a bit fun, sorry I'm poking the proverbial bear.

Lobot would sell if they made him for May 4th or for July 23rd. Exclusives should be exactly what these are......Niche figures that if you don't want them you can pass. Similar to Mondo's Power Con Anti-Eternia He-man or todays NECA Exclusive TMNT. Look at how many people don't have Serpentor in there G.I. Joe Classified Series Collection because he was a limited event exclusive?

So do they know it's not May 4th??

did they ever think that it would be like the ultimate money making hustle if for one of these events they straight up released actual figures of characters that never got made and people want? instead of selling a bunch of silly shirts on old toys, make an exclusive may 4th Lobot...you wanna sell 5 figures or 5000? just saying.
