Lucasfilm Names Derek Hoffman As VP Of Development

Lucasfilm has named Derek Hoffman as their new vice president of development, he will oversee development of live-action projects. Hoffman has worked in the film, video game and comic book industry for the last 24 years. starting out in Richard Donners’ Company ” He later became a development executive and vice president for the company, working on each film in the “X-Men” franchise, including as associate producer on “X-Men: Days of Future Past.” He also spearheaded the franchise’s move into television, serving as co-executive producer on the FX series “Legion” and as executive producer on Fox’s “The Gifted.”
