I'm surprised Nemesis is going to be a Plus exclusive. Seems like a lot of tooling for such a limited release. Maybe it will just be this particular deco that gets an exclusive. I'm curious to see blond Cover Girl. I'm probably going in on both of those figures.

The GI Joe Classified reveals today were pretty solid, and there are a few figures Im definitely planning to add to my collection. First up, Nemesis Enforceryes, Im still calling him Nemesis Enforcer and not Nemesis Immortal or whatever theyre trying to make happen. He was one of the most memorable villains from GI Joe: The Movie, and this new figure looks fantastic with those huge wings and that overall menacing vibe. Hes a must-have for me, no question.

Blowtorch also looks pretty good from the CG render. Ive always liked his design, and it seems like theyre nailing the classic look with this one. Im excited to see how he turns out in person, but based on what theyve shown, hell be a solid addition to the Joes.

Now, the retro Flint ? Ive been waiting on this one for a while. Flints always been one of those core characters for me, and having him in that classic retro look is something Ive been hoping theyd announce. Definitely picking him up as soon as hes available. Retro Cover Girl is another one Ill probably grab. I already have the standard version, but Im a sucker for the classic aesthetic, and I think shell look great alongside the other retro figures. Its not a must-buy, but Im leaning toward adding her to the collection.

On the other hand, Cobra Frag-Viper is an easy pass. Ive never been a fan of the designits just not appealing to me. I know some collectors love these more obscure Cobra troops, but this one doesnt really do anything for me, so Ill skip it. One thing Im really hoping for, though, is that Hasbro keeps going with the GI Joe: The Movie figures. Nemesis Enforcer is great, but Id love to see Pythona, Golobulus, and even a Cobra-La Trooper in the Classified line. Those characters were such a big part of the movie, and it would be awesome to have them all together on the shelf. Hopefully, theyll make that happen sooner rather than later.

Overall, todays reveals had a few highlights, and Im looking forward to seeing these figures in hand. Nemesis Enforcer, Blowtorch, retro Flint, and Cover Girl are on my list.

Enforcer definitely looks interesting.

Thanks for the news! Cool figures. Sucks for the Hasbro layoffs. Smh. Good luck to all those that were let go.

Thanks to jays_toycollectionuk we now have a full panel report to share with you from MCM London and the G.I. Joe Classified panel from the Hasbro booth. You can watch the entire panel below:

Note that they had no actual figures on hand this weekend due to the recent Hasbro layoffs earlier this week. I believe Toy Design/Director John Warden was the one who was going to bring the production samples but found out the day before he was to leave for London he was being laid off. They showed some updated slides for the Classified Cobra Defense Perimeter set they first announced last weekend at NYCC. Their will be a wepons rack inside and you can take the walls apart in order to make a wall system. They gave us a brief look at the upcoming Deluxe Classified Heavy Duty figure. Both Heavy Duty and the Classified Cobra Defense Perimeter will go up for pre-order on October 29 at 1pm ET at places like our sponsors sponsors BigBadToyStore.com and Entertainment Earth. They also showed briefly the Deluxe Nemesis Imortal figure which we will be seeing more tomorrow during the 1027 Hasbro Pulse event which begins at 12pm ET.For digital reveals they showed the Cobra Frag-Viper and Blowtorch. For name reveals they announced Retro cardback versions of Flint, Tele-Viper and Cover Girl (Blonde).

What's the beef with the Cover Girl figure we already have? I had zero problems with her and she looks great amongst my other troops on display.

I like that figure quite a bit, tbh, but the sculpt is one that if the eye and mouth tampos were off even just a little bit, it took the portrait from pretty to pretty bad, and unfortunately the face deco misalignment was a widespread issue (not just with Courtney but with all her wave mates). A lot of people compared their portrait to Joan Rivers, and while I don't think the figure that ultimately wound up on my desk looks like that at all, I did get a couple (and returned them) that very much did. There were also widespread issues with the Cover Girl figures having upside down lower torsos and right arms that popped off at the shoulder.
