I literally said "First Contact Beverly" and "First Contact Troi," so yes, I am. And I'm curious why you didn't go with a standard Jadzia head on a TNG Beverly body. Surely the proportions would look better (she's looking kinda short and bobble headed there), and the figure would be closer in appearance to the few minutes she spends in that uniform in "Emissary."

That's a good question. The Tribbles figure was certainly easier to find. I remember liking it better for some reason, but it might have just been a cost thing.

I put a Dax (Tribbles) head on Troi's TNG uniform body. It's the closest I will probably ever get to a 1/12 Dax in my favorite uniform. From a distance, the Dax head is ok, but up close it's really lacking.

Jadzia and Beverly shared bodies. Ezri shared a body with First Contact Troi (it might have actually been First Contact Beverly's torso and Troi's hips and legs. I'd have to dig them out of storage to check, and I don't intend to do that). And I agree with you that those aren't among the best of that line. You're also not saying anything that I didn't, really. Most of them (some were also just adequate and some others were very not) were great for their time, which generally implies that they don't really meet today's standards. But you said that none of the core characters have never been made well, and that's really just not true. They were. They may not hold up anymore, but many of those figures were excellent for the '00s.

I have a Dax head on a Troi body from that line (the closest I've ever come to Dax in the TNG uniform). It's fine for it's time, but they are quite out of date and some of them were duds.

That's arguable. Most of the Art Asylum/DST Star Trek figures were great...for their time (fifteen to twenty years ago).

Jadzia Dax in Duty Uniform

Oh, and the core characters that have never been made well (which is, of course, all of them).

Yeah, imagine the TOS bridge crew with tricorders, phasers. Balok would be cool. Also, Elaan of Troyius in that purple suit of hers, Shahna, and the Mirror Universe Spock & Uhura.

Admiral Kirk from the first movie (that's the only uniform in that flick that looked good!) and Ilia (android).

My favorite uniforms of all, the TWOK outfits (including the bomber jacket Adm Morrow wore on Search for Spock).

The sky's the limit for them, if they can do it right. Because its not just action figure collectors that will want these.

Just give me a bunch of nice TOS figures.

Kirk, Spock and McCoy, TOS style, that's all I ask for
