The crossover you didn't know you needed! In the new
Ahsoka Disney+ series,
Ahsoka and
Sabine have been after a
Star Map (
well, they had it first, but then lost it, so then they were after it... Did I forget to say 'spoilers'?). The
Star Map itself looks astonishingly like a
pétanque boule, so it didn't take long for the marketing department to put 2 and 2 together, and come up with next summer's best selling outdoors game:

For the uninitiated,
Pétanque is "a form of lawn bowling, originating in the south of France, usually played on rough ground using steel balls" (
thanks, Google!). The goal is to throw your steel
'boule' and get it as close as possible to a smaller, wooden target ball. It's a lot of fun. The
Ahsoka Star Map Pétanque boules set will include
6 Star Maps (
1:1 scale, for the cosplayers!), a wooden
target ball with a Star Wars logo, and a sturdy canvas
carry case. You can also use a vintage leather holder for a more
"Star Wars" look!
"Adding pétanque to the Star Wars universe was definitely important to us" said one of the producers of the show. "We're hoping to have a full pétanque tournament in future seasons of the show."
The
Star Wars Ahsoka Star Map Pétanque boules set will be available next summer.
