Here's my theory with Lando (and I guess Palpatine)

They began production on the Archive line. Retailers did not order as expected, and possibly even canceled orders, leaving all these completed, painted figures sitting in some factory somewhere.

They immediately stopped printing Archive cards, and decided to print new RotJ cards for this huge pile of unsold Landos and Palpatines.

That does make a lot of sense. Theres landos and Palpatines for miles at my local targets and Walmarts so thats very likely

I still like the Palpatine, but Ackbar is a definite pass for me. They shouldve done Luke or pretty much anyone else, except maybe Lando ?

So disappointed with Ackbar and Palpatine

A Kenner homage and no throne.

Such a bummer: I was planning on getting all the RotJ carded figures, but these and Carbonized are easy passes

The Chewbacca with the new headsculpt looks good. It's good they are releasing the Stormtrooper again gives people a chance to army build. Of course this would have been a great opportunity to release a proper Throne room duel Luke and a ROTJ Darth Vader with removable helmet, oh well.
