The Haslab Rancor Black Series project portion is starting.
It will need 9k Backers by December 6, 2021 to be funded. The first stretch goal with be unlocked at 11k. It's the largest Black Series figure to date. 17.5" tall. With arms up it will be 27" and arms out will be 42" wide. The Rancor project will cost $349.99 US/ £329.99 UK. The project is live now on Haslab.
Right? Remember when fan site tallies showed that Figrin D'an had actually won the Black Series ESB 40th Anniversary Fan Vote two years ago, but Hasbro announced that Dagobah Luke Skywalker had won instead and that Figrin D'an actually came in fourth behind Ewok Village Leia and the 2-1B surgical droid? No? Yeah, me, either. That's because it was Lobot and Wedge Antilles (Snow Speeder Pilot). And yeah, the Cantina Band and Endor aren't in ESB. That's not the point. Snow Speeder Wedge should be a no-brainer and would only need a new head, and I know Lobot actually won that vote and nothing Hasbro said will convince me otherwise. In the way of characters from the other two orignal movie, I still find it odd that we got a Force Awakens Nien Nunb years ago, but collectors are still waiting on an Episode VI version. I'd like to think that the release of General Lando Calrissian would make this figure more likely, but the Star Wars team frequently makes really odd decisions.
Lobot should be a no brainer, he was part of the most popular Star Wars movie, he actually contributed to the story by helping the heroes and he has a simple yet interesting look. Like Boba Fett before him his quiet demeanor gave him an air of mystery, although at this point they probably created a background story for him and ruined his mystique but I digress.
FigrinD'an and Ewok village Leia? I would like to think there are better options from the Original Trilogy.

Yay! More Black Series Mandalorian figures, at least they look good. Cobb Vanth's likeness is good but not quite Olyphantastic. Nomad Fett seems to have a better likeness and an interesting look but I'll probably save my money for the repainted armor version. The Mandalorian set is not really that interesting and it comes across as a lazy repaint/re-release.FigrinD'an and Ewok village Leia? That was super tone deaf when they encouraged fans to buy multiples of the Mos Eisley Cantina set, which is limited to 1 per customer. Nobody told them? Really?
