Rumor Report: Star Wars The Black Series Deluxe Dark Trooper Coming In 2022

Jay Cochran - August 25, 2021
It's been a little slow on the Star Wars news front this month so we had those Bothans do some digging to see what might be coming from Hasbro, and lo and behold they found something.

Next year several new Black Series Deluxe figures will be coming, one of which includes a new Dark Trooper. We ASSUME it will be based on the most recent one that appeared in season 2 of the Disney+ The Mandalorian series. Our info only says Dark Trooper which is why we can only assume which version of the Dark Trooper it will be based on. The cost will be $29.99 for it. Of course as always treat this as rumor until Hasbro gets around to officially confirming it.

I saw a video review for this figure and the reviewer mentioned the joints being very gummy and it seemed that the figure couldn't support its own weight. Hopefully, it was just his and its not a widespread problem.

Great looking sculpt on the figure, and having interchangeable hands for Black Series is huuuge. But deluxe army builders...

Belmont13 - 2022-02-08 @ 3:40 am

The Dark Troopers look really nice but a little pricey for me especially for an army builder. The headsculpt on the new Din Djarin looks better than the previous one but still not quite there.

So now both Din and Migs not only have the red on their armor (when only Din should), but they also both lack the black turtleneck that's part of the Juggernaut pilot uniform. Can't say I'm surprised. ?I like that the one Dark Trooper photo says "FIGURE DOES NOT FLY" in the corner, because there are people out there who would absolutely buy it and then get annoyed when it wouldn't, and Hasbro needs that disclaimer.

Yeah Im done with this line. They can keep their deluxe figures. Theyre not worth the price when some basics come with more and better accessories, and their sister lines give more for the same price. Im done.
