Star Wars Black Series 6" Rogue One Wave Codename Listings Discovered Which Should Include The New Bodhi Rook Figure

By Jay Cochran on 2021-02-15 in Action Figures
The folks at Yakface have dug up retail listings for the upcoming rumored 6" Black Series Rogue One wave coming this year from Hasbro. This wave should mostly be re-issues of previous Rogue One figures Hasbro did with the assumption being they would have updated PhotoReel headsculpts like we saw them do last year with their Rebels based figures. These should be regular relase figures and not Archive figures.

As we first reported last year, the one brand new figure in this wave should be of Bodhi Rook, which was the one main Rogue One character Hasbro never previously released for the Black Series line. The listings discovered by Yakface use codenames and I am not sure which one is actually Bodhi, but he is almost definitely coming. Of course until Hasbro officially confirms this we will continue to treat it as rumor.

Im down! I loved the movie but skipped the figures because the faces really were lacking. If this fixes that, I can make space on the Star Wars shelf for them

I can't say 100% but yes I think the only new Rogue One figure being done will be Rook with the others being reissued similar to how they did with the Rebels figures.

My assumption is that they'll re-issue all 5 human figures (Jyn, Cassian, Chirrut, Baze, Krennic)with updated face-print, K2-S0 and the new Bodhi Rook. I don't think they'll do anyone else new. I'd hope for a Saw Guerrera, Moroff, Mon Mothma, Galen, Melshi, Pao and Bistan... but won't hold my breath.

I think you're right.

2021 marks the 5th anniversary ofRogue One: A Star Wars Story, and, as you may have seen, there arerumorsof a themed wave of Black Series figures in the works, possibly including Bodhi Rook.Which other figures would you like to see included in such an assortment, either rereleased or newly produced?TheDeath Trooper,Hover Tank Driver, andShore Trooperwill be repacked in the Archive line,so, I don't see them being included, but, maybe variations of the figures possibly could. And while Cassian Andor, Director Krenic, Jyn Erso, among others, seem to still be readily available on the secondary market, I wouldn't be surprised to see many of the main characters 'refreshed' with new paint decos (Maybe theTarget exclusive Cassian figurecould be used instead?)In addition to Bodhi, there are also plenty of yet to be produced figures that could be included; Saw Gerrera, Galen Erso, Admiral Raddus, Bail Organa, Mon Mothma, or one of the X-Wing pilots, among others. We've even speculatedthe rumored Dr. Evizan and Ponda Baba figurescouldbe included, based on their brief cameo in the film.Of course, until confirmed by Hasbro, this should all be consideredrumor, but, ifit were to happen, who do you think could be included in this wave?

Now I'm glad I wasn't really collecting Black Series at the time. It'd be nice to see the team with good head sculpts and a nice accurate paint job. If they can update some of the bodies it'd be nice too.

I'm glad to hear this. I will definately be picking these up.

It's cool that they are doing this, some of those figures needed some work, especially the headsculpts. If they can finally complete the team, even better. I'm happy that Rogue One is getting some love, it's easily the best Star Wars movie under the Disney umbrella.
