Its been rumored for so long now, Im ready for it to just hit stores. But I try to just buy characters I want so it will be easier on me than completist
I remember when you would go to pretty muchany store and buy toys. Seedmans I believe was the name of the store, I got so many GI Joes from there. Heck, I remember when I was a kid my mom got me a GI Joe figure from a Hospital gift shop. When the Teenage Mutant Turtles cartoon,I remember saving my allowance and going to Kaybee to buy Ninja Turtles toys and the pegs were full of them. Even mid 90s I would watch the Spider-Man, Fantastic Four, Iron Man and X-men cartoon and go to the store and they would have action figures from those shows.

And price hikes? Forget it! I remember the 90's. The Marvel cartoons were all over the airwaves, and Toybiz was pumping out so much product, literally two weeks after a new wave would get released, it would be on clearance at Toys-R-Us just to make room for the next batch.
God, I loved those clearance baskets, sometimes the figures even still had traces of the packing tissue on 'em.

I had been getting Joe Classifieds and Lightning Collection, but either the figures were super tough to find (if at all) and/or I decided there just wasn't enough of an emotional investment for me to carry on. So I struck them from my list and sold off what I had already gotten.
I'm in the same boat with Marvel Legends, I'm down to comic boom looks only and limiting myself to one version of a character. The GI Joe Classified line I have only gotten the characters I really like. Snake Eyes was my main want from that line and after months of fruitless hunting, checking Amazon.com to see if I could score one for retail and watching the figure go up in price, I managed to score the Deluxe version in the Hasbro Pulse restock. I ordered the Storm Shadow from Amazon and after months of delay and having to confirm that I still wanted the figure, it was finally delivered. I ordered a Red Ninja from BBTS after failed attempts to get it anywhere. The only other I want is Firefly and well let's see how that goes. So between the exclusives, bad distribution and scalpers getting worse I'm collecting less and less.

The only Black Series I ever bought was a 6" Jyn Erso. Outside of that, I guess I stopped collecting Star Wars just before Black Series started up.
Before that, there was a time I was all about anything Prequel Trilogy and especially Clone Wars.
