The Razor Crest - So Now What??? The Mandalorian SPOILERS

By Jay Cochran on 2020-12-08 in Action Figures
So if you have seen the season episode of The Mandalorian titled "The Tragedy" then you already know that Mando's ship the Razor Crest met a pretty unexpected demise by being completely obliterated my Moff Gideon.

This episode comes on the heels of a successful crowdsourcing campaign for a Vintage Collection toy of the vehicle that my guess most thought would be around for the full duration of the show. A campaign that required folks to spend $350 to back.

Now obviously the ship being destroyed in the show doesn't mean that people who backed the project still won't be getting a cool toy, but there are those who might find it less appealing to own something based on a vehicle that didn't even last two full seasons in the show.

So is the Razor Crest truly gone? I don't see how it could be put back together since there wasn't much left than a big crater, but who's to say Mando couldn't get himself another one eventually. The Razor Crest is classified as a gunship, and although an older ship, who's isn't to say there aren't similar looking gunships out there to be had?

Right now Din Djarin is flying around with his new found buddy Boba Fett in Slave-1. Hasbro has already done several versions of Slave-1 for the Vintage Collection, none of which are as nice as the upcoming Razor Crest, but it seems doubtful to me that Djarin will use Slave-1 long term.

If Mando doesn't get another Razor Crest then he will likely end up with a brand new ship at some point, perhaps something for Hasbro's next Haslab project???

If you backed the Razor Crest, are you feeling less enthusiastic about your purchase after seeing last weeks episode? Let us know in the COMMENTS SECTION.

The razor crest did well, so they need a new ship for Mando to fly for another project to funded. But honestly I hope they somehow find him another version of the razor crest. Its a cool looking ship

Someone on YouTube pointed out that almost, if not all of the Haslab projects have been destroyed. the Sail Barge (with the shortest amount of screen time, at that), Unicron, theRazor Crest, and, technically, the Sentinel, lol.

Well ol Cookie Monster is alive and kicking, so maybe that why that project didn't get backed.

Or another ship of the same design. "Razor Crest II" or "Razor Crest A" or whatever.

Who knows maybe Din Diarin will end up with the Millennium Falcon.

You still get a nicely detailed and very well done collectible. The ship design looks cool and season 1 alone made it iconic for me. People ask for a Death Star diorama for a Haslab Project and that got destroyed twice. Who knows maybe Din Diarin will end up with the Millennium Falcon.
