The first season of
DisneyPlus' series
The Mandalorian has come to an end, and so far
Hasbro has only given us five
Black Series 6" figures from it which includes the following:
Mandalorian Version 1
Off World Jawa
IG-11 (Best Buy Exclusive)
Cara Dune
Heavy Infantry Mandalorian (Best Buy Exclusive)
A figure of
The Child (Baby Yoda) has also been announced to be in the works, but has yet to be released.
Baby Yoda
While this isn't a bad start, I think many folks after finishing watching the first season are going to be glamoring for more figures. So we've created a Top 10 list of characters we want to see Hasbro release for the line in 2020. You can also apply this same list to the
4" Vintage Collection line as well. Besides basic figures we've also added two additional entries we think would make good Deluxe type offerings.
10) Ran Malk
First appearing in episode 6, this guy has a past with The Mandalorian which I think makes him to be a fairly interesting character. He's a normal looking human but I think he warrants the action figure treatment due to the fact that I don't think we've seen the last of him.
09) The Client
Another fairly normal looking human, but one with ties to the Empire. He first appeared in Episode 1 and continues to show up throughout the season. Include his Imperial necklace and the portable safe featured in the image above, and I think you have a figure worth getting.
08) Xi'an
This is another character who first showed up in episode 6 and also has a past with Mando. She is also an alien who likes to play with knives which I think makes her a character deemed worthy of the action figure treatment.
07) Mayfield
Mayfield is an ex-imperial sharpshooter turned mercenary who doesn't really like Mando. His love for guns which include ones attached to a backpack for additional fire power, makes him a perfect choice to get an action figure. He also first appeared in episode 6.
06) Burg
Burg is a big heavy bruiser type dude who hangs out with Mayfield, Xi'an and Ran Malk during episode 6. If you are going to make the others you gotta do Burg, plus he's a cool looking alien.
05) Greef Carga
This one is a no brainier for Hasbro to do. Current head of the Bounty Hunter's Guild and played by well known actor Carl Weathers makes him a clear choice for the figure treatment. This one is less about if and more about when.
04) The Armorer
This unique looking Mandalorian plays a pivotal role in the first season which includes making cool things for Mando. Throw in some version of the device she uses for smelting and you have a must have figure everyone will want.
03) Moff Gideon
There is a new bad guy in town and his name is Gideon. Only appearing in the final two episodes of the season, this guy has already made a significant impact on the Star Wars Universe. This is another no brainier for Hasbro to do, but we do hope they include that one important accessory that we can't mention here due to the spoiler nature of it.
02) Kuiil With Blurrg
Kuiil is an Ugnaught which would make him a smaller type figure, so we also think Hasbro should include one of his pet Blurrg's to ride around on. I have spoken.
01) Mandalorian Version 2
Mando ends up getting an upgrade during the season from the armor seen on the previous figure Hasbro released. This upgraded version gives our lead character a much shiner looking armor, which we hope Hasbro does justice to. They need to give it a good metallic paint job or even go with a vac metal finish.
Besides basic figures, we feel this season has provided us two additional opportunities to do deluxe type figure releases. Hasbro has done small type vehicles and beasts in the past for the 6" Black Series line, so these would be in keeping with those.
Biker Scout with white Speeder Bike
This would only require Hasbro to do a simple repaint of the existing Biker Scout with Speeder Bike they did for the Black Series line. Add the satchel seen in the image above with it's contents and I could see myself adding this to my collection.
Mandalorian with Baby Yoda in floating stroller and Blurrg
Give us a version of Mandalorian as seen at the very end of the season with all of his accessories and markings. Add a Baby Yoda in floating stroller and a Blurrg he can ride on for good measure and I think you would have a real winner.
Mandalorian's Razorcrest
It should go without saying that I would love to see Hasbro do a detailed version of Mando's ship the Razorcrest. Due to it's size however I don't think it would be terribly practical for the 6" Black Series line. This is definitely something Hasbro needs to do for the 4" Vintage Collection line though.
