2019 MCM London Comic Con Hasbro Star Wars Panel

By Jay Cochran on 2019-10-26 in Action Figures
Today we are bringing you coverage of the Hasbro Star Wars panel via Fantha Tracks taking place at this weekend's London MCM Comic Con. See the panel stream live below.

We will also update with info for any new products announced here.

They announced a kid Mandalorian mask and Mandalorian wrist gauntlet.

For 6" Black series they revealed a 6" Knight of Ren figure from Rise of Skywalker. Also revealed was a 6" Zori Bliss. Hasbro did not show anymore prequel figures. At the Paris Comic Con yesterday they said they had a total of 8 prequel figures to reveal this week and at the two EU conventions next week. Now they are saying they will only be 4 figures shown next week, so don't know if that means they misspoke yesterday or if they are holding 2 back.

For Vintage Collection the revealed the Mandalorian figure from the new TV series. They said they have one more to reveal for the new series next week. The VC Leia 164 was an error and most will be VC 150. Kara Dunn will be VC 164. The few that came out will be considered a rare variant.

With the VC special release multi-pack figures, they will just have the basic Star Wars logo and know long feature the specific movie logo they are based on due to the change with adding multiple languages to the packaging. The new Target 3-pack with Luke, Vader and Yoda is the first one to feature this change.

Hasbro is holding a second Q&A at their panel.

Yeah, I thought that was weird, too.

When I collected 4'' going back to the Kenner Power of the Force days I would get any character they made even if that character was on the screen for like 2 seconds. Now that I collect other things like Marvel Legends I only pick up 6" Black Series if it's a character I like, a Jedi or Sith but if the character was just there and didn't do anything relevant then I skip(unless it has a really cool design).

I agree, with figure prices rising over the last few years and so many different companies making good action figures of so many different properties, I dont have enough shelf space and money to spent onevery single ML or SW character coming out (so I also only buy figures of characters I really like or need in my collection)

Im not really looking to spend money on figures of characters that end up appearing for 2 minutes in the movie, dont do anything worth while or are just forgetable characters.

The Kight of Ren and Zori Bliss figures look intresting butI learnt from the last 3 movies (Ep.VII, Solo & Ep.VIII), I wont be getting any Ep.IX figures till I see the movie, Im not really looking to spend money on figures of characters that end up appearing for 2 minutes in the movie, dont do anything worth while or are just forgetable characters.

Not much to get excited for here, the Black Series Knight of Ren looks cool but so far all I know from them is that they are a group of dark side force warriors and Kylo Ren is their leader. Vintage stuff sounds interesting but I'm having a hard time paying that much for 4" figures. Strange turn of events concerning the prequels figures announcement.
