With the record-breaking success of
The Force Awakens, and next year's release of
Rogue One (Dec. 16, 2016) , Disney has moved the release date of 'Episode VIII' from May 26th to Dec. 15, 2017.
Episode VIII will be directed by Rian Johnson, with
most of the main cast said to return, filming will begin next this month.
