Yesterday we showed you a teaser image for a 1/6th scale Millennium Falcon ship Hot Toys announced would be on display at the Ani-Com and Games Hong Kong (ACGHK) convention which takes place July 24 – 28.
This news put out by Hot Toys left many (including ourselves) wondering if this was something Hot Toys planned on releasing for purchase similar to the 1/6 scale Tie Fighter they debuted at San Diego Comic Con earlier this month (which you can check out a new image for below), or was this something made for display purposes only at the conventions they are attending. We reached out to the folks at Hot Toys who have confirmed for us this 1/6 scale Millennium Falcon is for display purposes only, at least for now. So if you were thinking you would need to take out a second mortgage and build a new room addition to your house, worry not. Though with Hot Toys I honestly would not be surprised if sometime down the road they did find a way to make this available for purchase.
As for the 1/6 scale Tie Fighter which is big enough in it's own right, that will be made available for purchase at some point with pre-order info to follow soon.
