Though we have recently seen an unconfirmed list of solicited toys for Hasbro's Star Wars: The Force Awakens hit the net, we have gotten word from Hasbro this morning that we should not expect to see anything from the movie on hand next month at the New York Toy Fair.
For those of you not familiar with Toy Fair, this is the annual event held in New York City where toy companies show off their new products for the coming year to retailers in hopes that those retailers will carry the product. While we doubt Hasbro won't be doing this for Star Wars: The Force Awakens, this recent news simply means they have no plans of showing any of the product to the media right now. Hasbro goes on to say they will be showing off other Star Wars related products so expect to see new offerings for lines like the 6" Black Series and such. The real question is whether Hasbro can prevent any "Force Awakens" product images from leaking out which is often the case with this type of thing. Already we have see a leaked
solicitation list and last month we saw images of what appears to be new
6" Force Awakens figures.
