Star Wars Galactic Files 2 Sketch Card Artist Spotlight: Scott Zambelli

Now available (as of 8/9), Topps' Star Wars Galactic Files - Series 2 Trading Card Set features chase cards, such as autograph, medallions, and printing plate inserts, as well as sketch cards. One of the participating sketch card artists for this set is Scott Zambelli, who has worked on cards for Star Wars: The Clone Wars - Season 2, Galaxy 6 & 7, and Galactic Files 1 & 2, as well as cards for numerous other sets.

"I was born in '73, so Star Wars has been around since I could remember. When I was 4 years old, my parents took me to see it in the theaters and it captured me since. Growing up, me and my friends used to tie socks around our heads to block our vision so we could try and use the force as we would use a wiffle ball bat to try and deflect wiffle balls thrown at us by our other friends.

There are so many elements that are so great to draw, but I have to admit that the Stormtroopers hold a special place in my heart since I am also an active member of the 501st as a TK (Stormtrooper). I am with the Great Lakes Garrison and my designation is TK-10499 for those who are also members."

Topps' Star Wars Galactic Files - Series 2 Trading cards will be available at hobby shops on Friday, Aug. 9th.
