lol... well, I felt silly today, I guess our local SW day isn't till June 1st... I walked into the Library where they were supposed to have it and seemed weird there weren't any streets closed off, like they talked about last year, not signs, not vendors and tables and the restaurant across the street didn't have any SW themed food items.. something was off.. then I noticed a little flyer that said to come celebrate on June 1st.. DOH!!

Everyone should be thankful they don't cosplay as Gargan. *shudder*

We're going to the next town over, they have a big ol' event planned, they shut down half the downtown area and have a huge Star Wars event. Can't wait.

Does it involve the 501st?

Yeppers!

Disney should consider starting Star Wars Weekends around this date

I actually have met a slave Leia cosplayer. Got my pic taken with here a few years ago at a local comic convention. Missed her this year as she was doing a panel talk about costuming while I was there but I met another gal who was with her dressed as Harley Quinn from one of the Arkham games.

I've been to a few Cons here in Phoenix and Mesa & I have yet to see a Slave Leia.....or a Squad of Fighting Padme's woulda been nice. well at least you can hang out w/some Snow Troopers, but don't feed the Tauntaun's they get the scoots too easily.....
