Saving the Lars Family Homestead

Seeing the home of a Star Wars icon destroyed on the big screen is bad enough for fans of the saga, but hearing of the site's demise left a group so devastated they launched a rescue mission.

After raising money from fellow fans( an estimated $11,000) two Brits joined a team to Tunisia to save the famous 'igloo' home of Luke Skywalker....

Wow...those before and after pics just brought a big ol' smile to my face. I knew they were attempting this project, but I hadn't heard or read anything lately about their progress. That's so awesome.
