We first showed you this bad boy last weekend during the New York Toy Fair, and now we bring you a more detailed look as well as some details about Hasbro's big Star Wars San Diego Comic Con exclusive for 2012. It is a special figure 7-pack that will come packaged in a special Carbon Freeze chamber designed case. There will be 6 figures from each of the movies that come on special "lost line" cardbacks, unique cardbacks made to look like designs Lucas and Kenner almost went withback in the 70's as opposed to the traditional designs we actually got. The 6 figures you will get in the set are as follows:
- Jar Jar Binks – Episode I
- Clone Trooper Lieutenant – Episode II
- Shock Trooper – Episode III
- Sandtrooper (with Sentry Droid) – Episode IV
- Princess Leia (Bespin Gown) – Episode V
- Darth Vader (Emperor’s Wrath) – Episode VI
Now these 6 figures will also be sold individually at retail on both regular Vintage cardbacks as well as the special "Lost Line" cardbacks, similar to what they did in 2011 with the "Revenge of the Sith" figures. These figures will be the 8th wave of Vintage figures sold in 2012 and will also include a
Republic Trooper from The Old Republic video game. The special SDCC set though also comes with a very special bonus 7th figure that you will only be able to get in this set. A
Vintage Carded Jar Jar Binks in Carbonite figure which is based on a fan made, full-size version that can be found on display at Lucasfilm.
The Jar Jar Carbonite figure is detailed on both the front and the back and has a piece you can slide out on the back so you can display the block with a “thawed” Jar Jar impression, making it look like he's been unfrozen, though I don't know why anyone would want to unfreeze him.
The Jar Jar Carbonite figure can also be placed in the top of the Carobinte 7-pack case to make it look like its being put into the Carbon Freeze chamber. Hasbro has not yet revealed the price for this set and probably won't till we get much closer to the San Diego Comic-Con which isn't until July.
