Star Wars Action Figures Among National Toy Hall Of Fame Finalists For 2011

The National Toy Hall Of Fame has narrowed their list of nominees to 12 finalists, with two making the final cut as inductees for 2011. This year's finalists, which include a number of mainstays of the 1980's; the Rubik’s Cube, Star Wars action figures, and Transformers, will be judged by a variety of criteria, including 'icon-status', 'longevity', and 'innovation', with this year's inductees announced at the National Toy Hall of Fame on Thursday, November 10, at 10:30 a.m. and a major weekend public celebration will follow at The Strong’s National Museum of Play® on Saturday, November 12 and Sunday, November 13.
