The National Toy Hall Of Fame has narrowed their list of nominees to 12 finalists, with two making the final cut as inductees for 2011. This year's finalists, which include a number of mainstays of the 1980's; the
Rubik’s Cube,
Star Wars action figures, and
Transformers, will be judged by a variety of criteria, including 'icon-status', 'longevity', and 'innovation', with this year's inductees announced at the National Toy Hall of Fame on Thursday, November 10, at 10:30 a.m. and a major weekend public celebration will follow at The Strong’s National Museum of Play® on Saturday, November 12 and Sunday, November 13.
