Star Wars Coins Coming From New Zealand

Coming soon from the New Zealand Mint, a series of legal tender Star Wars coins. Launching in August, at the American Numismatics Association Show in Chicago, the series will include eight 1oz silver coins and 10 Silver Plated base metal coins, and is planned to continue annually, into early 2014. The Silver Plated base metal coins are sold individually and packaged in a blister pack, ancd include images of C-3PO, Chewbacca, Darth Vader, Emperor Palpatine, Han Solo, Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, R2-D2, and Yoda. The first release includes two (2) uniquely packaged 4 x 1oz Silver coin sets and 10 individual Silver Plated base metal coins; a Darth Vader 4 x 1oz Silver coin set (includes the authentic 'Vader breathing' sound effects, and coins featuring Darth Vader, Emperor Palpatine, the Death Star and a Storm Trooper) and a Millennium Falcon 4 x 1oz Silver coin set (featuring the 'jump to light speed' sound effects, and coins featuring Han Solo/Chewbacca, Luke Skywalker/ Princess Leia, Obi-Wan Kenobi/ Yoda, and R2-D2 / C-3PO).
