I don't even LIKE Rampart, and I'd happily buy this figure if it was on the peg. Even if Hasbro skimped on it and slapped Firefly's goggles on Duke's head with Snow Job's hood, I could probably justify it. At least they'd be TRYING. Heck, for all I care they could even call him 'Arctic Duke' and have him be a 'backdoor' character in the manner of the international figures.

Just more proof that if Hasbro was reading message boards and listening to fans like they say they are, not only would we be getting more characters, but they'd be able to reuse parts to much better effect.

Hey, I know I havent been here in a while, but I saw this custom and I had to comment. Rampart was one of my favorites growing up, and to se him like this is awesome. Great job dude, I wish they made this figure.

Inggasson - 2008-09-05 @ 11:55 pm

Shame you can't do that in CounterStrike Source

PhoenixSword - 2008-09-05 @ 6:14 pm
Surely the recoil and shudder of the SAW would make the scope useless?

Shame the sculpt has so much detail in the torso and next to none on the sleeves/arms

you can use one with a scope in rainbow six it helps to fire in bursts

see if all the 25th figures were this quality i would still be buying them. great job.

You know, what's funny is that HASBRO is responsible for making all these various parts and pieces the customizers are using, they're just lacking that, that....shall we say...."EYE" for how it should all be put together or something..I dunno.

How easy it would be to put together this Rampart FOR us, as demonstrated here (not "easy" in the customized sense, but old available parts use for Hasbro.."easy") but instead we still get multiple versions of the same old characters, sometimes with only a minor paint change or accessory addition to claim it as a "variant".

We've already seen how a simple SHOCKWAVE could have been done, instead of another Firefly or Snake Eyes, now this cool-ass RAMPART.

Exactly Viper. It makes no sence that with a little paint and some sculpy or epoxy that customizers can create very accurate updates of classic characters from the parts Hasbro has molds for, but Hasbro itself is incapable of recognizing the potential that they have to release more characters rather than re-paints that drive collectors crazy with boredom.

OH, and also, that is one AWESOME custom!
