In my opinion one of the best trick to be a long lasting collector... I was once a completist... and all it did was waste money and space on bad figures... I also stopped buying doubles and that helped too...

Yeah, I'm exactly the same way anymore. I've discovered that I don't have to be a completist by any means. A collection is alot more manageable and collecting in general is more enjoyable I think when one is selective...

The only time I want doubles is when I buy carded figures and I want one to display and one to open. I don't think I'd ever do that with Transformers unless it was just a character I really love, like Optimus Prime or Hot Rod/Rodmius Prime.

man i so hear you. it has to be fun or why bother.

Enough contemplating already... You know you want too...

Hey Dragon, don't push me man. It's like telling the guy standing on the side of the bridge to jump. "Stay back!! I'm gonna DO IT!!" (lol)

I would essentially be starting over from scratch. The only thing Transformers related I currently own is the first teaser poster from Transformers and the instructions to the protoform Optimus Prime I forgot to give my brother when I gave away the figure. Pretty pathetic, huh. (lol)

man i was out of TF after g2 figs came out but the classics got me back in. this time around i just buy what i want and like the most .

Guys, I'm usually a lurker around here since I sold my stuff awhile back, but I thought I'd chime in...

Heh..."Light our darkest HOUR!!!" Bless his heart... (lol)

In all seriousness, I appreciate they guy's enthusiasm. I do enjoy the video reviews overall. As a matter of fact, I've really been tempted to get back into Transformers lately to be honest, although I'd be extremely selective if I did. I'd collect the following (in order of priority):

Encore

Movie (just the Premium ones, plus Leader Class Brawl/Devestator and the regular Bumblebees)

Masterpiece

Henkei/2.0 Classics (maybe)

I'm not all that impartial to Acid Storm. Ya, I would rather have Dirge, Thrust or Sunstorm, but a camo-seeker is fine for now. I look forward to buying it. I just don't care for the Galvatron fig in this assortment. I already have Energon Galavatron.

Acid Storm isn't a new character; he's one of the "generic" seekers from g1, in the ep where they rained acid on the autobots (hence the name).

I think the mold is really good, but the color scheme of this one isn't good enough to get me to buy another repaint.

I understand that but if I can't find a transformer I do pick up from other line like Star Wars

I made a decision to collect only one line a while back when it became to much to keep up... I get tempted to pick up stuff from other lines all the time... I cant afford to open up that flood gate...
