Coming summer 2011, Hasbro's all-new Ultimate FX Lightsaber features progressive light-up blade, vibrant LED lighting, and authentic sounds, as well as an authentic looking plastic handle and shorter blade more suitable for kids play. In addition to the metal handle Signature Series Force FX lightsabers for adult collectors, the Ultimate FX Lightsaber will be available in August, with Anakin Skywalker and Darth Vader models, and an approximate retail price of $34.99 each.

Where can you get them?

the ones i found were in the philippines. but, i know they were released here in dollar stores and drugstores a few years back (although i never bought any back then).

Wal-Mart usually gets an awesome battle pack with I think three figures, an alien flyer, and a couple of others things all for $10 around the holiday season. They had some stuff at the last Toy Fair that looked sweet, but I don't know when to expect it.

that's cool to know. i've been out of the country for over a year so i never saw the sets that walmart had. i hope they'll have them again, i'd be looking forward to them.

They would definitely work in my 'Robot Rebellion' Joe-verse story.

now there's a thought...

I've never seen those before, but you're right, they'd fit in pretty well.

They would definitely work in my 'Robot Rebellion' Joe-verse story. I might have to track some down.

I've got a ton of these guys, but I don't think they'd blend really well with Joes without some splicing of Joe parts. For the price though, they're awesome figures.
