That's just the regular A-10. My brother painted it blue (he tried the Krylon Fusion but didn't like the color so he used some Wal-Mart brand paint that worked better) and I made custom decals at work scaled for the toy.
I also made a custom F-18 Skysriker:
According to my buddy who works at TrU, the A-10 is no longer on the planogram so if you want to get it you probably should do it before they run out of stock.
Big Lots is getting their Xmas stock of PTE stuff. I wonder if they will have the A-10 again.
To me it just isn't a Rattler if it also doesn't have VTOL capability. Especially for Cobra since they would like to have hidden clandestine bases. A runway is just too much of a giveaway.
The F-18 is a perfect update to a Skystriker since weren't they supposed to replace F-14's anyway?
My brother has plans for converting the A-10 to a VTOL. He keeps looking for the Hasbro Rattler at Target so I think he's planning on doing that modification real soon.
I don't know if the F-18 was supposed to replace the F-14... but it sure seems that way. The thing I liked about the TrU F-18 is that it's about as big as the original Skystiker so I didn't have to adjust the decals too much for scale.
I forgot that Big Lots had the A-10 last year. I hope the get F-18s because I wouldn't mind making a couple more Skystikers to battle my brother's VTOL Rattler!

i never really liked the gijoe/cobra jets all that much because of all the parts that never stay together well... i might have to get a couple of those from tru and spray em blue!

I think he means more like the Elite Force and 21st Century scale vehicles. I picked up an Abrams for the Joes, and it makes the MOBAT look like an Armadillo. And the Armadillo look line a bumper car. I really want their version of the Humvee, but I'm afraid it will also dwarf the VAMP. I've also been eyeing the TrU A-10, but I just know that it'll make the Rattler look bad.At least I think that's what he means...
lol.. yeah, that's what I meant.. I have the BBI helicopters and once you put the Joes in those, they just look sill next to the Stubby little Hasbro jets... and yeah, I've been saving my pennies for that TRU A-10 tank killer!!!
