So What Do Kids Think Of Hasbro's New Role-Play Boba Fett Helmet?

By Jay Cochran on 2010-09-01 in Action Figures
Hasbro sent us this new Boba Fett role-play helmet – which we found to be very cool as huge fans of the Fett. Like their previous Darth Vader and Clone Trooper helmets, this one has lots of cool features including button-activated blaster sounds, rocket pack sounds, light-up antenna, and recited phrases such as 'Surrender... or face disintegration'.

Now as tempted as we were to keep this one for ourselves, we thought our young friend Gannon might enjoy it more. As you can see from the images below, we were right. In fact, we were told he liked it so much he even wanted to sleep with the helmet on. Oh and in case you were wondering, the role-play Boba Fett blaster is also from Hasbro, but he got that one all on his own.

This new helmet is in stores now and retails for around $34.99. It will make a great gift for any Star Wars collector in your life whether he is young or old.

Stratos will be exclusive to he-man.org? Or he will be on both mattycollector.com and He-man.org?

The unveiling of the Stratos figure via online image will be exclusive to He-Man.org, not the sale of the figure. Startos will be sold just like all the other figures exclusively on MattyCollector.com.

Skeletor looks fantastic. What really impresses me about this new line of figures is that Mattel is taking great pains to make them look like their appearances from the back of the original packages. I always wondered, as a kid, why the figures rarely looked like how they were portrayed on the package backs. Now we finally get to see the figures as originally interpreted.

Decent article in the magazine with the 4 Horsemen and Mattel and talk about the new website... They list that He-Man, Beastman and Skeletor (On the magazine cover) are the first 3 figures and Stratos will be the 4th figure and he will appear in September, exclusively on he-man.org

He looks good, but I think the head should be a little smaller.

To me, his yellow head is PERFECT! Seriously Guys, the 2002 version looked like they pealed a chihuahua or rapid squirrel head and plopped it under his hood!

200x skeletor was awesome looking!

the MOTUC skeletor is very accurate....gotta get him!

That Skeletor was very cool looking with a lot of attitude, but he had a teeny, tiny squirrel head. A very vicious-looking squirrel head, mind you. All those guys had little heads.

yeah...their heads were small.

The skirt makes him look like Roman Skeletor.

I like him but I cant help but feel like somethings off. I cant tell if its the skirt thing or small chest armor and some shoulder armor.

For me, I think I'm too used to the 2002 version of Skeletor, so that makes this one seem a little off having the same body size as He-Man and the rest. I think the shorter skirt thing looks a little off, too. But since they're trying to replicate the '80s version, I think they pretty much nailed it (that's why his head is so round, by the way).

I didn't hear Teela and Evil Lyn complaining...

I like it. The original Skeletor was my very first action figure, so I'll happily buy this one.
