I was wondering for any one that has extras would you be willing to sell me one or two of the Greyskulls for cost?

synch - 2008-08-15 @ 4:26 am

Yeah someone suggested that I just sell or trade of which Idid not originally think of but I've decided I'm just going to keep it since it is the one I picked up there after all

I wish I had known this at SD cause I would have gone back and got a regular all I have is the variant now

My outer box from SD is taped at all sides and has two pieces of tape where the little flap is where it opens up... on each side ... One piece per side of flap at the top

the bottom has one piece of tape per side

I'm no longer mad that I got the variant how ever I'm more mad at my self for not buying more when I was at the con

Well I have friends that are looking for the variant if you wanted to trade one for a regular.

I ordered 2 from Mattycollector.com and received 2 Bronze King Grayskulls. Both of them had tape over the tab AND on both sides of the top of the box. Sorry to ruin your theory.

I haven't received my figures yet but maybe they are double taping the variation figure cause they know its the variation and don't want people ripping the packages open to steal them...

Or maybe they are heavier in weight and they want to make sure they stay inside the package?

TommyGoth - 2008-08-13 @ 7:47 pm

I got a regular one and all of the tape was cut. made it easy to open.

Fisto1 - 2008-08-11 @ 2:37 am

Yeah this hld true for the two figures I got. I the variant only had the two peices of tape.

Your theory is correct. I stood in line on Thursday at SDCC for 2 hours, bought my limit of five Grayskulls. I gave one to my brother and one to my son, leaving three for myself. Back at the hotel room I noticed that one of the outer boxes had double tape on it. I saved that one to open for last. Sure enough, it was the variant. Put aside all worries that someone at the Mattel warehouse is opening boxes. I would have posted this on the He-man.org forums but they still haven't sent me my new registration email confirmation?
