2010 Q&A Session With Hasbro's Star Wars Brand Team

By Jay Cochran on 2010-04-27 in Action Figures

Hasbro's Star Wars brand team agreed to answer two questions from Jedi Insider fans on a regular basis. Here are this week's questions and answers.

JI: At Toy Fair you all mentioned that 3 vehicles would be released with variant vintage packaging, 1 being the AT-AT that will be exclusive to Toys R' Us stores. Any word on the other two, and will these be TRU exclusives as well, also can we get a look at that AT-AT vintage packaging?

Hasbro: It's too early to release the names of the other two, but these will not be TRU exclusive; they belong to another account. The Vintage AT-AT package will be debuting in Star Wars Insider July issue, and as such we are holding until they have a chance to introduce it. We can tell you that it is fantastic!

JI: In one of the Q&A's last month you said the AT-ST would be re-released with a Hoth deco this year for the Empire Strikes Back anniversary. Are there any plans to re-release the BMF Falcon with some Empire Strikes Back love?

Hasbro: The Millennium Falcon (new, bigger version) will not be re-released to commemorate the 30th Anniversary of EpV. However, the original version (in original blue/white packaging) will be released in limited quantities for web-retailers later this Fall.
