DSTChuck has released a new Diamond Select Toys Q&A over on their Art Asylum website for your viewing pleasure.

In this weeks edition focuses on a wide range of topics. Check out the entire Q&A below:

Hey! The Marvel UQS line has me stoked…any chance you guys will make a yellow costume Wolverine and a Jim Lee Cyclops?(Blue and yellow)…they’re my favorite looks of the X-Menverse.

DSTChuck: Cyclops is very possible, not sure how we’ll tackle Wolverine because he should be much smaller then all the other figures in the line.

Figures Craferter
Hi, first of all I want to thank & congratulate you for the work on the star wars 1/4 scale line, also want to know if we will see a scout trooper figure, and let me dream in the same box a speeder bike, my only regrets is the absence of a ankle articulation ,and the difference of size between characters, hope long life to this line and more and more characters from the original saga.

DSTChuck: So glad you like the line, its been a blast to work on it. We’re going to move to more armored characters for 2010 and 2011 but I have no idea when we’d get to a Scout Trooper. Sorry.

Joshua Moore
Any chance there is a Marvel Select Hawkeye on the horizon? He is an important and popular character in the marvel universe, but has never gotten that many figures. I would be very happy if Diamond decided to rectify this.

DSTChuck: I think its too early in the line for us to say if we’ll get to Hawkeye, he’d be fun to do but we’ll have to wait and see.

Blair Potter
Hello– Could you tell me if the R2-D2 Quarter-Scale Bust Bank has been canceled? I didn’t see it listed in the latest shipping updates. Thank you! Blair

DSTChuck: Sorry Blair but we ran into a capacity issue with our factory before they had to close down for their new years celebration. We’re getting R2 right back on track right now.

Hernan Gamez
Dear Sir, please let me know when we will see the Obi Wan Ep-3 Ultimate Quarter figure and Grand Moff Tarkin figure? Thanks!

DSTChuck: Tarkin is not on the schedule right now, we had hoped he would sell as an exclusive. Obi Wan should be in stores this summer.

Mike Mitchell
When can we expect to see the glow in the dark Stay Puft Marshmallow Man bank hit stores and will it be an exclusive to TRU like the slimer bank was?

DSTChuck: Mike I think you’re jumping the gun a little. I don’t think we’ve announced we’re doing a GID version.

Steven Denton
Hello, i’ve read that the unreleased figure “Sanctuary Faith” from your Buffy/Angel line was tooled and by your not producing it you have actually lost money with this particular figure. I was wondering, with Sideshow bringing Buffy back via their new line of statues, the Buffy/Angel comics, and Eliza Dushku’s large fan following, do you think that this figure could work as an exclusive to your online store now? Chuck, the fans miss the Buffy figures so much!

DSTChuck: We missy Buffy too, but we have no plans right now to bring action figures out in 2010.

Dane Amyotte
When I first saw images of your Universal Monsters line, I was very excited. But after looking over them and seeing your production blog about the figures, I have a couple of questions. 1.When getting the Monster License, why didn’t you get permission to use the actors likenesses on the figures? I mean, the actors likeness is what makes them Universal Monsters and not just Monsters. The actors are the characters. Karloff is Frankenstein’s Monster. Is this why all the figures (well, maybe not the Gill Man) look a little off? 2. Will all the figures come in standard and deluxe editions? 3. Where are the scars on the Bride of Frankenstein’s jaw line?

DSTChuck: The actor rights must be secured directly with the estates not with Universal. Yes there will be a select line and a ‘Standard” line. I’d have to look into the scar question.

Dave Cordes
In your recent Q&A you stated that the reason why 3 3/4″ Back To The Future figures have not been made is because the actors have never signed off on them. What about just releasing the figures with generic likenesses? This issue has never stopped other toy companies like Hasbro from producing generic likenesses for other film licenses without actors’ approval. There must be some loophole with the licensor that would allow you to get a series of action figures out there to help push sales of your excellent DeLorean vehicles that are sorely missing action figures to drive them!

DSTChuck: I don’t think that’s something we’re interested in doing even if Universal were to allow it. The cars are in scale with many of the 3 3/4 lines out there so one of them can drive your time machine.

Justin Hyman
I love your back to the future toys and the lage scale deloreans very much are you going to rerelease the back to the future part 2 mark ii delorean with more painting details on the car

DSTChuck: Justin what details are you asking about — the dirt?

David Heitman
Will there be more Deloreans this year for bttf’s 25th anniversary and or surprises?:) Also, what about an ecto-1 car in 1/15th scale and a miniature for the minimates? There could even be two versions from both films. I think people really enjoy having different scales, not to mention that it leaves open the opportunity for 6 inch figs later. And for that matter why not an electronic prop replica of the proton pack ? Not only do you have the Ghost Buster license but you manufacture prop replicas…its totally obvious? With the newer film most likely Mattel will have the license and over simplify the toys due to mass production and moms groups who are concerned for their children. The same thing happened to dark knight resulting in crap like bola trap batman. I don’t believe that was in the film unless I fell asleep for thirty minutes, but I doubt it because the film was flippin awesome. So as you can see…. your our only hope. Thanks for reading all that. I appreciate it!

DSTChuck: Yes we do have another time machine planned, we’re calling it Rail Ready with the train tires. Ecto-1 vehicles are not currently allowed in our license. I have to be honest we have considered a proton pack or ghost trap replica but nothing is in the works.

June Kramer
What’s the status of the Buck Rogers figures? I would really like to know because I am a big fan of the show. I own a few of your Buffy/Angel, Stargate, and Star Trek figures. They have wonderful detail and the articulation is great!

DSTChuck: June, right now we have no plans to pursue the Buck Rogers license.
