I think the simplistic G1 Transformers saved most of them from paint chipping... I have most of the Binaltech line... and its tough to keep the corners from chipping even on the first transformation... As for loose joints... We want to be able to pose our figures... I dont think its possible to have one without the other... ball joints will get loose...

What I HATE the MOST is.....sorry, the topic is "The little things" (gooosefabaaa)

One little thing I despise is that Hasbro doesn't use more metal in their Transformers. G1 gave us a taste, but if your favorite Transformer was all metal, Masterpiece or not, would you not buy it? I think we all proved THAT when we bought, or wanted to buy Takara's MP-1 Convoy (2003)!!

If you are listening Hasbro - More Metal!! @Jason1@ @band@ @peace@ .....please.

Does days are long gone Capt... We be lucky if they ever use rubber tires again...

Thanks for the grievance man.I know YOU know what I'm talkin about, and most of the readers know too. (Wow, It's been so long, I forgot about rubber tires)

However, Who knows. Maybe we WILL see metal and rubber tires again. #US1#

I don't miss metal at all. There's just too many problems that go with using it. It's just not as practical for a number of reasons.

Rubber tires tend to degrade over time. While I do like them, again, in the long run there seems to be too many problems associated with them.

Both do add a more appealing look, but I'd rather have something that can stand the wear and tear a bit better like the plastic does.

I also liked minicons as well. Although I'd rather see them made more like Powermasters, Headmasters, and Targetmasters. The way they were used in Armada in many cases weren't very good, though some weren't bad at all. It was a mixed bag there.

I agree on all counts; I prefer plastic for the most part; paint doesn't chip on plastic, metal toys are easier to break, plastic is less expensive..

I also like minicons; sure there were some bad ones, esp. at the beginning of armada, but more recent ones have been pretty good. The targetmaster ones at the end of the armada line were great.

I understand the practicality and the cost efficiency of plastic, but sometimes I feel like I am already paying too much for some plastic toys, not all of course. When I have a metal figure in my hand, I feel like I really have something. I do not agree with the wear and tear argument. I know alot of TFs in the past have metal on plastic problems, but if they are designed well then it is not an issue. I know some of the new animated TFs will not last as long as my MP Prime, and I'm pretty rough with the Hasbro version.

That's what I think, anyway.

Geez those were some great lines you posted there

Starscream49 - 2008-07-03 @ 1:09 am

I know Robot Heroes arent going anywhere anytime soon but if you look at Hasbros/Takaras past with the small subsidiary lines, they last about 7 waves then go bye bye once all the main characters are made and sometimes when they arent.

For instance

HOC

Attacktix

Both Titanium series

Robotmasters

PVCs

The 2 inch statues

Busts that are licensed out

WST

Alternators

See what I mean

Wheeljack35 - 2008-07-03 @ 12:57 am

Too expensive thats why we get them in plastic

Robot Heroes will not go away anytime soon

The Heroes toys

Robot Heroes

Galactic Heroes

Marvel Heroes

Indy Heros

Hasbro likes these because there cheap to produce and if you notice almost all Hasbro lines will have them

GI Joe will get some next year

I hate the Mugs toys but if they were in a G1 version you would see me getting happy about them
