agreed, I loved Clash of the Champions. Never could order the PPVs as a kid, nor did they ever feed down to the Caribbean to begin with - we'd catch a PPV on VHS tapes a week or so later at the local video store on the island.

But Clash of the Champions was awesome, title defenses - title changes! Hell the first Clash had Sting & Flair goin to a 60 min draw!

I think everything is kind of in a state of cruise control until the Draft. Vince knows who is going where and does not want this to leak online. The sad thing about that is that they are still building towards a PPV in which people are going to be asked to fork out $40 in order to see it.

If Vince wants to win over fans or win back fans... and wants to use the struggling American economy as a way to make himself look good (because that is the angle he's pushing with Million Dollar Mania)... then he should actually produce a good, PPV-quality event on free TV. At least once. Something better than the best RAW, SD, ECW or any other free TV event.

If there was ever a time to bring back Clash of the Champions (circa 1988-early 90s... not the joke it became in its final events), now would be the time. There are too many PPV events and they are way too expensive for people to see. Since they are also the only events with actual wrestling on them as opposed to Vince playing Monty Hall, a PPV quality show needs to be on free TV.

Maybe Vince is just trying to keep storylines from getting leaked out.
