2007 Q&A Session With Hasbro's Star Wars Brand Team Round 10

By Jay Cochran on 2007-09-14 in Action Figures

Hasbro's Star Wars brand team has agreed to answer three questions from Jedi Insider fans every other week. Here are this week's questions and answers.

JI: Will the VOTC line continue in 2008?

Hasbro: There will not be another vintage-style line in 2008, because we are dedicating those resources and tool budget toward developing the Evolutions reintroduction. We certainly hope to pick up vintage further down the road, and the polls we conducted recently have informed our thinking for when we do bring it back out.

JI: If you had the opportunity to re-design the Death Star playset toy from scratch, what is one thing you would want to incorporate that was not on the original toy?

Hasbro: A working ion cannon! Seriously, that was a great playset. The only thing that can really be added would be..space. The ability to arrange figures in more key scenes and capture the scale of the Death Star corridors and rooms.

JI: Will the Jango Fett in the "Evolution of the Fetts" set be super-articulated, and will the helmet come off on the figure?

Hasbro: Yes and yes.
