Star Wars: Black Series 6" Snowspeeder And More???

Jay Cochran - February 19, 2020
Every day you turn around there seems to be a new Hasbro Star Wars rumor popping up, and honestly it's pretty hard to keep up with them all. Here are a few I have done some digging into, and been able to confirm from a couple different trusted sources they are legit. While I feel pretty confident these are coming, we will treat these as rumors until Hasbro officially confirms them, which will likely be this weekend during Toy Fair.

This first one really seems like an odd choice, but it looks like Hasbro is going to be releasing a 6" Black Series Snowspeeder vehicle for $100+. I know it's the 40th Anniversary of the Empire Strikes Back, but if they were going to do another large scale vehicle, I would have thought they would finally give us the X-Wing we were supposed to get several years ago. To me a Snowspeeder seems kind of pointless unless we had a 6" AT-AT to go with it. Who knows maybe that will be Hasbro's next big Haslab announcement????

Other Black Series rumors we are pretty confident about getting a second wave of Empire Strikes Back Vintage Carded figures that will include Luke Skywalker (Hoth), Lando (Bespin), Hoth Rebel Soldier, R2-D2, and TIE Pilot. Also look for carbonized versions of an Imperial Stormtrooper and Boba Fett which should be available at most online retailers that carry Black Series.

For you Vintage Collection fans it looks like we will be getting another $150+ Slave-1 coming. This may just be a re-release or modified version of the one we got back in 2013 as a Amazon exclusive.

Again, until Hasbro officially confirms these, treat these all as rumor.

This will be a cool display piece to have in your home.

Pretty much anything they shrink will have it's proportions changed for practicality. It's easier to imagine a six-foot Millenium Falcon than a 9 foot Millenium Falcon, but it's even easier to imagine them shrinking it down further to five or even four feet.

My guess is they'll do a Falcon for HasLab. Just like the vintage one, it's proportions could be adapted so that it's not (that) impractical.

IDK. The Snow Speeder is a two seater vehicle. It might not be as long as say a X-Wing but seems like it would be more complex. It really does kinda make me wonder about the chances of them doing some kind of HasLab At-At as crazy and impracticable as that seems.

I'd love to have a six foot tall AT-AT. I think my wife would be pissed, tho.

I have not been keeping up with the Haslab thing, especially in regards to how successful it has been and whether it is possible for them to do another Star Wars project. A six inch scale AT-AT Haslab project would be something I would be tempted to get since it is my favorite none starship Star Wars vehicle. Then reality would set and I would realize that I most probably don't have the space for it. Still it is certainly an interesting idea for a Haslab project.

Uhhhh if the Snowspeeder is truly coming I'm so happy. It's my favorite OG rebel ship.

While I love the design of the Snowspeeder and the Battle of Hoth is one of my favorite sequences in the Star Wars saga; part of me wonders why not make a more iconic vehicle/ship. I guess it has something to do with tooling cost being that the Snowspeeder is on the smaller side.

I'm hoping the 3 3/4" Cloud City playset *rumor* comes true
