Star Wars: Knights Of The Old Republic Remake Is Dead

By Outsiders on 2023-11-17 in Games
The Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic remake has met its demise, according to Jeff Grubb of Giant Bomb's Game Mess Mornings show. Originally revealed in 2021, the game has faced numerous development challenges right from the beginning. Initially helmed by Aspyr Media, the project was later handed over to Saber Interactive under Embracer Group in August 2022.

“I just want to clear it up, this game is not being worked on right now,” Grubb commented. “Just full stop. This game is not being worked on in any way, at any studio.”

During his show, Grubb hinted that the game might have even been taken away from Saber Interactive as well. Since the decision to part ways with Aspyr Media, there has been a conspicuous silence regarding the game's progress. Sony's recent actions of removing any mentions of the game from social media and YouTube further add to the uncertainty. Even during Embracer Group's quarterly earnings calls, no confirmation was given regarding the game's development status.
