I'm down for any CGI movie - all but clone wars. enough of that crap.

If Kevin Smith is supposed to take over after Lucas has gone the way of the Dinosaur as I heard. He may make the last three

No, he's not.

And from a May 2008 interview with Total Film Magazine per this link: (link)

TOTAL FILM: "Are you happy for new Star Wars tales to be told after you're gone?"

LUCAS: "I've left pretty explicit instructions for there not to be any more features. There will definitely be no Episodes VII-IX. That's because there isn't any story. I mean, I never thought of anything. And now there have been novels about the events after Episode VI, which isn't at all what I would have done with it. The Star Wars story is really the tragedy of Darth Vader. That is the story.

Now, it isn't like Lucas hasn't changed his mind before, but as of right now, he ain't doing 'em, and he ain't letting anyone else do 'em even after he's dead. You may be mixing up your reports, however, as Kevin Smith has been rumored to possibly be doing a bit of the writing and directing on the upcoming live-action TV series. I don't know that the rumors were ever confirmed/denied, though.

cant be anymore lame than this clone war movie thats been done before. theres really no reason for this movie but fans are buying it. so why not maul? most wanted more of fett and we eventually got more. most want more maul.

eps 7-9 will be made. its just a question of when & by whom. people always want more money, no matter how much they already have, especially as they get older. and if gl does hold off, his children will sell the rights to the franchise when he passes. theres just too much money involved. I believe gl could care less about offending hammil & fisher.

that galaxy is larger than just the skywalkers. I think its lame & mundane to not want more stories told.

Episode 7-9 has already basically been told in the hundreds of books/comics/video games/etc... that take place after Return of the Jedi.

Beyond that, unless Lucas himself changes his mind (and fairly quickly, he isn't getting any younger), it's not going to happen. Lucas has strongly hinted that (at this point) he's left very specific instructions for the movies NOT to be made...ever. Even in the event of his death. Besides that, GL's children are already going to be billionaires, and can rake in millions (if not billions) more based on the merchandise and royalties of the films that already exist. Unless they're unbelievably greedy individuals, there's absolutely no need for them to sell the rights to anyone to make more movies. It's quite possible they'd simply respect their father's wishes and hold the property in trust. Stranger things have happened.

Beyond that...who short of Bill Gates is going to be able to afford to buy those rights, anyhow? Not even the movie studios have the scratch to casually toss several billion dollars (which is what the rights to Star Wars would be worth) at the Lucas family. They wouldn't have enough money left over to actually make the movies after buying the rights.

I would love to see Shadows of the Empire or anything that has to do with the Rebellion against the Empire as a new CGI movie

I am really suprised that did not do something. I know it was everything but a movie but I would lhave love to have heard an audio drama on it at least.

Of course, one thing cool and not to spoil anything, shadows is talked about a small amount in the Return of the jedi Audio drama. What is it? Wel my friends, that is your quest to find out @smilepunch@

and yes, sote would be a nice edition. maybe its next, besides the live action series, since gl liked the story so much.

atleast mark hamill could pull off the voice acting!

A cloned Darth Maul? Sounds kinda lame to me. I mean I love Darth Maul, but I'd rather not see him resurrected for no real reason. As for an animated Episode 7 or another trilogy I'd rather not see it. The story has been told imo. Besides, it won't happen anyway. Lucas has enough bucks till he kicks the bucket. I'm sure Mark and Carrie would be angry to see them being replaced by animated counterparts anyway @loll@
